Frequently Asked Questions
We want to make it easy to understand who we are, how we work, and how you can be part of something meaningful. If you have a question that isn't answered here, please reach out — we'd love to hear from you.
About Our Programs
We welcome nominations for low-income families, single-parent households, children, seniors, graduates, couples, and individuals facing illness, grief, or difficult life circumstances. If someone you know is going through a hard season and could use a meaningful moment of encouragement, we would love to hear their story. Anyone in the community can submit a nomination on behalf of a deserving family or individual.
No. All of our programs and services are provided completely free of charge to the families and individuals we serve. Our work is made possible entirely through the generosity of donors, volunteers, and community supporters. Families should never worry about cost — our only goal is to show up with love.
We provide meaningful celebration experiences, community outreach, emotional encouragement, and memory-making moments for families during important life seasons. This may include birthday celebrations, graduation recognition, senior milestone moments, compassionate presence for families facing illness or grief, and small event décor assistance. We focus on heartfelt, community-centered experiences — not luxury full-service event planning.
We want to be clear and transparent about what we do: Moments Matter Foundation is a compassionate community outreach organization — not a full-service event planning company. We focus on creating meaningful, heartfelt experiences and community-centered moments for families in need. Our goal is to show up with love, encouragement, and thoughtful support during life's most important seasons.
Nominations & Selection
Every nomination is reviewed with care and consideration by our team. We evaluate each submission based on need, circumstance, and the type of support we are currently able to provide. Due to limited resources and high community need, not all nominations may be selected at this time. We are committed to reviewing every submission with compassion and will do our best to serve as many families as possible as we continue to grow.
After submitting a nomination, our team will review it and reach out within 5–7 business days. If a family is selected, we will work directly with the nominator and/or family to coordinate a meaningful experience. We appreciate your patience as we thoughtfully review each submission.
Yes. We understand that it can be difficult to ask for help, and we deeply respect the courage it takes to reach out. You are welcome to nominate yourself or your own family. Our team reviews all nominations with the same care, dignity, and compassion — regardless of who submits them.
Getting Involved
We welcome volunteers who share our heart for community, compassion, and meaningful service. Visit our Volunteer page to submit an inquiry. We have opportunities for event setup and coordination, creative and décor support, photography, community outreach, social media assistance, and more. No experience is required — just a willing heart and a desire to make a difference.
Absolutely. We warmly welcome community sponsors and partners. Businesses, churches, schools, and organizations can partner with us to help fund celebration experiences, donate supplies, or co-sponsor community outreach events. Together, we can reach more families and create more meaningful moments across Acadiana. Please visit our Contact page or Get Involved page to learn more about partnership opportunities.
You can support Moments Matter Foundation through a monetary donation on our Donate page. Every contribution — large or small — helps us create meaningful moments for families who need them most. Your generosity directly funds celebration experiences, outreach programs, and the compassionate presence we bring to every family we serve.
Privacy & Community
We are deeply committed to protecting the privacy and dignity of every family we serve. Photos, testimonials, and personal stories will only be shared publicly — on our website, social media, or in any printed materials — with the explicit written permission of the individuals or families involved. We will never share your story without your knowledge and consent.
We primarily serve Acadiana and surrounding communities. As we continue to grow, we hope to expand our reach and impact. If you are outside our primary service area and believe your family or community could benefit from our mission, please reach out — we would love to connect and explore how we can help.
